Ingrown Toenails

What are ingrown toenails?

An ingrown toenail occurs when the nail grows into the toe, causing pain and discomfort. We offer several treatment options to resolve this and improve your comfort. We will always book an appointment with you to see what the presenting problem is and will of course discuss the most appropriate solution.

What treatments do you offer?

Conservative management may involve Nail spike removal with or without local anaesthetic. This can be managed in a routine appointment and can be undertaken as a preventative measure for ingrowing toenails. Conservative measurement is unlikely to offer a permanent solution if the problem has been ongoing and recurring. However, in some cases, nail surgery may be recommended by your podiatrist.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

If you are coming for a routine Podiatry appointment please just bring yourself and an up to date list of any medication you take.
